Beat the Heat in the High Country

Offered: July 14–16, 2017

This adventure challenge helps you beat the heat and experience Arizona’s diversity at Mogollon Rim with cooler temps, creeks, lakes, pine trees, and amazing views.

Come and experience this beautiful part of Arizona and hike the Highline Trail that was an important route of travel for pioneers, homesteaders, and local American Indian tribes when it came into being in the early 1800s. Many of the early ranches and horse corrals remain.

While the Highline will offer up some good climbs and descents, and we encourage you to select a trip suitable to your abilities and overall health, you will receive training and preparation tips. So with preparation, anyone can participate! Plus, it’s not about getting to the destination first, but rather enjoying the journey, the amazing outdoors, each other … in other words, getting outside, having fun, and doing good!
